On last nights episode of the bachelor the interaction between Pete and Madison discussing how she was saving herself for marriage caused a lot of talk all oer bachelor nation twitter. As we all know from Hannah B’s season of the Bachelorette Pilot Pete is nooooooottt exactly on the same page with all of that. Here are a coupe examples of tweets I saw regarding the who issue.
Thinking about it myself I think there are definitely very good arguements for both sides of the story. I’ll start with Petes side of the arguement. As I mentioned before Pilot Pete is very well known for his sex drive after his famous night in the windwill with Hannah B. Coming into this show it had to be very well known by all these contestants that Pete was a reeeaalll horny bastard and if it wasnt known episode 2 when Hannah B came back on for one of the group dates she made sure they all knew just how much of a dawg he was. This man must have done something right that night because she was ready to get some more from him and get back on that show.
Madison was not on this date but girls talk we all know that so there was no way she did not know about #HornyPete. My point in all this is she knew what Peter was about in regards to sex and had all season to tell him how she felt about it all so if he was really serious about her he would know by the time he got to fantasy suites what he needed to do. Madison was the first one on one and he took her to her parents vow renewel! I think at that point she should realized Pete was pretty serious about her from the start and she should probably bring this up.
Now with Madison’s side of things there are also plenty of arguments there as well. Maybe she was very aware of Petes view on this subject but when she realized just how serious he was about her she didn’t want to scare him off with something like this. She decides to wait and see if she even makes it far enough where it becomes an issue and then bring it up to him. After the rose ceremony from hometowns she approaches him and tries to bring it up in a very vague sense not wanting to say exactly what she means but hoping Pete catches her drift… boy did that shit go right on over Petes head!
My man had no idea what she was talking about and went right on ahead and did it with those two other girls (I’m assuming) and was just dumbfounded when she said exactly what she wanted on their date. So if I were Madison and had all those values and expectations of herself and Peter I think I would be just as upset and how could anyone blame her for being so upset when she has saved herself for marriage meanwhie the man you might possibly be engaged to in a week has just done it with two other girls, it would never leave her mind and would ultimately end the relatioshhip anyway.
I think this was just a classic tale of miscommunication between two parties and both were equally at fault but I think I’d have to take the side of Madison here and say Peter fell victim to something all of us guys fall victim to once in awhile, a dumb guy brain moment, you think you knew what the girl meant or you just didnt listen quite as intently as you should have and what you thought she said and meant is not even close to what she meant and when it all comes crashing down on you you are just left sitting feeling lost and dumb as ever.
I have no idea what will come of them as the season goes on or what will happen to our horny flyboy but all I know is if Madison is not the one make her the bachelorette and we riot if Victoria F wins.
