All Good Things Must Come to an End

I had all the faith in the world for our valiant Philadelphia Flyers as they hoped to continue the heater they have ben on and extend the win streak to 10 games and become even more impressive at home. Unfortunately it did not pan out the way I had hoped. I really don’t know how we lost that game, watching the entire time it felt like we should have been up 4 goals after the first period. It felt like we had so many scoring oportunities that just did not go our way. I think those not going the Flyers way may have worn on the team throughout the game but they didn’t let up. The entire first period it felt like the Flyers lived in the Bruins zone making great plays and moving the puck really well. They fought tough in the corners battled for every puck and also won most of the battles for thos pucks too. I am not worried at all by this loss for the future as we get closer to the playoffs because the bruins are the best team in the league for a reason and holding them only to 2 goals isn’t too bad. I am not one for “moral victories” but we have played this team tough all year and it is hard to sweep a team for the entire series, especially the best team in the league, but I think it was a good game for the team regardless and very winable if a couple bounces had gone our way more and a couple of decisions were made better as well.

I still have all the faith in the world the Flyers can make a deep run this year with the way they battle every game along with the chemistry this team has, they just get along very well and seem to know where everyone is going to be at all times. This might be one of the most complete Flyers teams I have seen since I started watching them and they might have one of the deepest teams as well just in general. Farabee has stepped up in the absence of JVR and there is just a plethera of talent down with the Phantoms that has gotten some quality NHL minutes which also makes me even more confident for the future of this team. Hopefully they can bounce back after this game because now they get the pleasure of playing the second best team in the league tomorrow on the road along with the lightning always seeming to be a tough game for the Flyers for as long as I can remember. Keeping my finger crossed for this one!
