I don’t know what is going on the Flyers during this series. Until tonight the PP being 1/21 or something like that I don’t remember the exact number but it is BAD. The team I blogged about after the first round robin game and then the dominant team we saw in the games after is not the team we have seen in this series. They look tense, nervous, and overall shook. I love this team so much and they were so impressive until this series. I don’t know what it is about The Habs, maybe the way they play, Carey Price, or what but they look like a typical Philly team playing down to their competition.
AV needs to give these guys a good ol kick in the ass or start calling some timeouts during these games to get this team on their shit. pulling Carter Hart in game 2 to protect him is fine but possibly pulling him going down 4-2 during this game cannot help his confidence, that goal ended up not counting but in all it just was not a good idea. Our top scorers are not scoring, ouR power play is anemic, AT BEST, except for that major we scored twice on. I am also furious at the fact that after all those years of keeping Andy Mcturnover (Andy Mcdonald) on the team we give up on Gostisbehere and keep Justin Braun on the lineup. HE SUCKS, yes Ghost isn’t what he was his rookie year but christ Braun is much worse.
Carter Hart as played out of his mind in these games and almost all goals scored on him are because the D have just left him out to dry. As I type this after the 2nd period of game 5 being down 3-2 I still think this team has played better after game 2, it has slowly gotten better each game. If we expect to make a deep run the play all around needs to turn around, I don’t think we will be losing this series but we need to get back into how we played during the round robin.
Some final thoughts after 2 periods of this game, I don’t remember ever being so sick of hearing certain players names during a series as a Flyers fan but I cannot wait to stop hearing about Katkaniemi, Suzuki, Domi, Gallagher, Danault, Chairot, Petry, Mete, Lehkonen, and Tatar. even during Pens Flyer series I have never felt is much hate for hearing payers names, I can’t wait to be done with the Habs and moving on. LETS GO FLYERS AND F THE HABS. Third period about to start and hopes will be high!
