Rollercoaster, best way to describe this game, shortie against us, get a 5 minute PP and does two then, get two scored against, almost three, Hart almost got pulled. Just in the first two periods… holy shit I was up and down all over. This cover picture perfectly describes how I feel about this series and about this Montreal team.I felt the Flyers played so much better than they did the past 4 games but the Habs also stepped it up so well. I hate the Bruins so much from the series we came back from 3-0 in the series and won in game 7 after being down 3-0 in the game, and something about this series will have me hating Montreal for years to come, and when I say hate I mean with a burning passion.In the next series The Flyers better turn their shit around and look back at how they used to play befoe this series and play the way I know they can.
As much as the overall play all over the ice has been shitty we have still been getting great chances but not finishing them, so many open net opportunities just in the game alone and being missed is something that will need to have as well. Flyers need to capitalize on chances that they get because they have gotten multiple each game and have missed almost all of them.
The amount of 2 shot power plays is utterly unreasonable, as much as we all make fun of everyone who constantly yells “SHOOT IT” during power play or just during play at all, the Flyers need to start imagining those people are in the building and just listen to them and get some shots on net. Having only 2 shots on a power play constantly is embarrassing. We try to play this umbrella power play but watching when they play their best it is below the goal line cycling the puck, they control play the best that way and have the best results. Everyone seems to know where everyone is going to be when they take that approach and pucks go in the back of the net.
Hayesy should have had a penalty shot in that third period as well, total bullshit call. Doesn’t matter because they capitalized immediately and it seems the power play may be starting to come back to life, I fucking Love Joel Farabee by the way. The immediate goal after not so uplifting though, my fiery hatred for Montreal increases to a white hot flame.
This series shouldn’t have gone past 4 games, I am so pissed off after the game and I am coming into game 6 white hot ready for some fire under the asses of this Flyers teamed it better continue throughout the playoffs if we end up moving on. Goodnight, going to be pissed off until Friday. Also if you cant’y tell I was also writing this throughout the game as my tone throughout this blog is a rollercoaster of emotions as well. I hae Montreal I hope they never win a game ever again.
